Confidentiality and information sharing

Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust takes great care to make sure that any information that we have about you is kept safe and confidential.

We follow strict laws (for example the Data Protection Act 2018) and guidance about handling and sharing any information we may have about you. We make sure we follow all the appropriate information governance guidance.

We only keep and share the minimum amount of information possible and only share information with people who have a real need to know it. When we use information we always try to take out any details that might identify individual people.
