We want anyone who uses our services to have a positive experience.

By asking for your feedback on our services, involving you in shaping services, listening to that feedback and acting on it, we can continually improve the experiences of people who use our services.

Good or bad, we want to hear about your experiences. That way we can ensure that we make improvements where needed, and where you’ve had a great experience, we can praise staff and services.

Below are just some of the ways you can share feedback and get involved in the work we do to make improvements.

Care Opinion

Throughout our website you’ll see an opportunity to leave feedback on your experience of our services via Care Opinion.

Care Opinion is an independent organisation that gives you the chance share your experience of health and social care services, to help make changes that benefit everyone.

We want you to share honest feedback about our services. You can choose how much detail you want to go into about your personal story, but if there’s anything we could improve on we want to know.

You can give feedback here.

Friends and Family Test

The Friends and Family Test is an important feedback tool that is used by the NHS nationally to ask service users, carers and staff if they would recommend the services they use and provide.

The feedback gathered by the Friends and Family Test helps make improvements across the NHS, and in our Trust.

A copy of the survey is available from the reception at each of our services, if you can’t find a copy just ask a member of staff for one.

You can find out more about the Friends and Family Test and take a look at the monthly results at www.england.nhs.uk/fft

Care Quality Commission

You can share your views of care from our organisation directly with the Care Quality Commission, which regulates our services.

Share your good or not so good experiences of care with the Care Quality Commission so it can help improve standards locally and nationally.

Complaints

Sometimes we don’t get things quite right.

Whenever that happens we want to know what went wrong so we can put things right and make sure it doesn’t happen again.

If you do need to tell us about something that’s gone wrong please visit our complaints page here where we explain what you need to do step by step.

Get in touch

If you would like to find out more about how you can get involved in sharing your experiences just drop an email to engage@shsc.nhs.uk and one of the team will get back to you as soon as they can.
