We have a range of service user groups that you can get involved in to share your views, meet people who have had similar experiences to you and make sure your voice is heard.

The groups are an invaluable way for you to give important feedback on our services, learn important details about what's going on at the Trust and help us to make decisions.

You can find out more about the range of groups you can get involved in below.

Brains of somewhere

The Brains of Somewhere group, also known as BOS, was founded in May 2017 with the aim of bringing together people recovering from brain injuries who have been discharged from the Sheffield Community Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team. The aim of the group is to share experiences, pool knowledge in a friendly and supportive environment, and maintain and develop connections within the brain injury community.

We meet once a month at the Zest centre in Upperthorpe, following a different agenda each time. We have covered a variety of topics over the years and sometimes invite guest speakers, such as, an accessible yoga instructor, art therapist, creative writer or musician. We always make time for tea and biscuits, and an informal chat.

If you would like to find out more details, or are interested in attending, you can get in touch at braininjuries@shsc.nhs.uk
