Coronavirus - changes to this service

We have made some changes to the visiting arrangements at Woodland View in order to keep residents and staff safe during the pandemic.

To find out more about our visiting arrangements please visit shsc.nhs.uk/coronavirus

Woodland View is a nursing home for people who have complex dementia and require specialist support.

Set in beautiful green surroundings we provide accommodation and care for up to 30 residents in two separate cottages called Oak and Willow.

Each cottage has a communal lounge and dining area where residents and staff can spend time together relaxing and taking part in activities. If the weather allows you’ll often find residents spending time in our sensory garden which has non-slip rubber pathways, accessible flower beds, a summer house and our very own seaside themed area.

Our aim is to enable our residents to live a fulfilled life while supporting them with dementia. Wherever possible we encourage residents to get involved in the local community, whether that’s through activities we bring to Woodland View, or through trips out to visit nearby Graves Park using our mini bus.

We provide a range of activities for residents, including dance, singing and art therapy. Residents also have access to an on-site hairdresser and chiropodist.

How is the service accessed?

To be accommodated and receive care at Woodland View you or your loved one must first be assessed and referred by the Continuing Health Care team at NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group.

We don’t operate an age limit at Woodland View, but anyone referred to us must have dementia as a primary health care need.

We do receive referrals from other Trust services including G1 Ward the Older Adults Home Treatment Team or Older Adults Community Mental Health Team.
