The day service groups help me to recognise there are two parts of my thoughts – my own thoughts and eating disordered thoughts. I realise the problem is not me, it is the eating disorder. This motivates me to challenge it.

The day service groups can be a distraction from eating disordered thoughts which can be strong when I’m alone. The groups help me re-frame some of the distressing thoughts I have.

Eating with other members of the day service is helpful. I feel calmer when I eat with the group who I know who are eating similar amounts to me.

The body image group is a really big help as I can get to the root of what drives my eating disorder. Each time I come out of the group feeling more relieved.

The creative group is a good way of getting things out of my head and a good medium to express myself.
