Coronavirus - changes to this service

Birch Avenue currently allows visits from up to five nominated face-to-face visitors, with two visitors allowed per visit.

Birch Avenue is a residential nursing home for people living with Dementia who have complex needs that require nursing care.

Birch Avenue is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the registered provider is South Yorkshire Housing Association who own the building and Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust providing the care.

During the CQC’s most recent visit they rated Birch Avenue as ‘good’ in all five areas inspected.

How is the service accessed?

We accept referrals for adults of any age living in Sheffield who have a diagnosis of Dementia, have complex needs and require nursing care.

Anyone referred to us must be in receipt of Continuing Healthcare Funding.
