Strengths-based care in the Clinical and Social Care Strategy

In this video Natalie Salmon, lead social worker, and Zoe Dodd, peer support lead, discuss strengths-based care. This is a key workstream of our Clinical and Social Care Strategy - which sets out a plan for the care that we want to provide at SHSC.

The strengths-based approach focuses on a person's resources, skills, characteristics and potential. Working in a strengths-based approach allows our service users to see themselves at their very best and capitalise on their strengths.

Natalie and Zoe talk about:

  • What strengths-based care is
  • Why it is important
  • Progress in the workstream so far
  • What's coming next
