The Recovery Service North provides support to adults living in the north of Sheffield who have complex or on-going mental health needs.

You may also hear us referred to as a community mental health team.

We provide health and social care support to help aid recovery, promote independence and improve both physical and mental wellbeing.

The support we offer can be described under three broad categories, which includes care for:

  • Psychotic disorders
  • Non-psychotic disorders
  • Personality disorders

All of the support we provide will be based on your individual needs and you will be fully involved in deciding what will work best for you.
We will regularly review you care plan with you and anyone else you would like to be involved in your care, such as family, loved one or carer.

The Recovery Service works closely with the Trust’s Home Treatment team who provide short-term support at home to avoid admission to hospital.

How is the service accessed?

Referrals to the Recovery Service are only received from other Trust services, including our Single Point of Access service.

To be eligible for referral to our service you must be aged 18 or over and have a complex or ongoing mental health need that cannot be met by primary health care services.

You must also be willing to engage with the treatment and support we offer.

Coronavirus survey

The Coronavirus pandemic has brought a lot of changes to our lives, and it has also meant we've had to make some temporary changes to the way we provide our support.

We carried out a survey of our service users to ask about your experience during the pandemic to find out what we've done well and where we can make improvements.

You can take a look at the results of the survey for Recovery Service North by clicking here.

Sharing your feedback on Care Opinion

Care Opinion is an independent organisation that gives you the chance share your experience of using our services, to help us make changes that benefit everyone.

We want you to share honest feedback about our services. Good or bad we want to hear what you think.

You can choose how much detail you want to go into about your personal story, but if there’s anything we could improve on we want to know.

You can give feedback by filling in the form below.
