Team SHSC shines bright at awards ceremony

The winners of the Shine awards 2024 were announced last night.

At a glitzy awards ceremony filled with glamour and razmataz, individuals and teams from across SHSC came together at the OEC in Owlerton to celebrate the very best of the organisation.

A total of 14 winners across 13 award categories took home a trophy (there were two winners in the everyone counts (special recognition) from the chair and the chief executive). In addition to the overall winners, 22 people or teams were also highly commended.

Chief executive Salma Yasmeen opened the night and took the opportunity to thank everyone present for their compassion and dedication to improving the lives of our service users.

Salma said: "Tonight has been about celebrating the very best of our Trust.

"Everyone has done brilliant, inspiring things that make our Trust great.

"Without you taking the time to celebrate the achievements of each other there wouldn’t be awards. You have embraced these awards and you are living our values by championing good quality care for our communities."

"I am very proud of everyone who was nominated for an award and tonight has been about showcasing your work and inspiring each other and all our colleagues at Sheffield Health and Social Care."
