Team SHSC celebrated on 75th birthday of the NHS

Staff from Sheffield Health and Social Care (SHSC) and trainee clinicians from Sheffield Hallam were toasted at a celebration birthday party on 5 July, the 75th birthday of the NHS.

The event was all about celebrating all the best bits of the NHS and inspiring the next generation of our workforce.

Activities at the event for all our amazing delegates included art therapy, yoga, mindful gardening, ambulance training, a chance to meet our therapy dogs Milo and Winston, and badminton to name just a few.

NHS staff and trainees were also treated to a new poem by Sheffield poet laureate Danae Wellington. ‘Here is a place’ has been written by Danae in honour of SHSC’s staff and service users, you can read it here.

Thank you to everyone who attended and an extra special thanks to all the teams who helped make the day so special. A number of photographs taken at the event can be seen in the below slideshow.
