Why did you decide to start an apprenticeship?

I decided to undertake an apprenticeship so that I could grow and develop within my job role. The apprenticeship will help me understand the job role and enhance my skills when working on projects in the future.

How did you go about finding out about the apprenticeship?

I came intro the trust as a graduate project manager and one of the things I had to do was an apprenticeship along side my job role. I knew what apprenticeship I wanted to undertake and thanks to the apprenticeship team at SHSC, they made it really easy for me find a training provider and get started with them ASAP!

What would you say the benefits are of doing an apprenticeship?

There are many benefits such as developing and enhancing your skills, increasing your knowledge and becoming more confident. When you understand what your job role is, this is when you can perform at your best and this is what an apprenticeship helps you with.

What would you say to someone who is thinking of undertaking an apprenticeship?

I would definitely recommend it. If you’re someone that wants to develop and grow in your role or maybe think of exploring some other aspects of the trust, an apprenticeship will be a massive help for you to become competent in your role.
