Working in partnership has always been critical for us, and we have used this year to continue to build strong ties with partner organisations and optimise those relationships for the benefit of our service users and our staff.

This has included playing a leading role in the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System and Sheffield Accountable Care Partnership.

We have continued to work closely with our partners across the city, with our work on the Sheffield Primary and Community Mental Health Transformation Programme nominated in the ‘Provider Collaboration of the Year’ category in the prestigious Health Service Journal Awards 2021.

Ellie Wildbore introduces the new Mental Health Alert Card for South Yorkshire, developed in partnership between South Yorkshire Police and Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust.

We have also played a key role in the development of the new provider collaboratives in the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw region.

The move to regional provider collaboratives sees specialised commissioning, quality assurance and delivery of adult secure services, including mental health, learning disability and autism, devolved to partnerships of local providers.

We have continued our work with non-NHS partners, working alongside South Yorkshire Police to launch a new Mental Health Alert Card for people to use across the city.

With the introduction of Integrated Care Boards and changes to social care made by Sheffield City Council in 2022, working in partnership will continue to be a key priority for us.
