Everyone at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust has worked incredibly hard over the past year.

Given the extra challenges of COVID-19 that they have faced on top of their day to day roles it was important we said thank you and recognised their hard work.

One of the ways we said thank you was through our ‘Gift of Time’ – a day of leave for staff to spend in any way they want.

Staff shared stories of how they spent their day off ranging from days out with family to attending Euro 2020

Throughout the year we have prioritised our the health and wellbeing of our staff, including opening a new staff rest area at the Michael Carlisle Centre.

Our values

During 2021 we refreshed our values with our staff. Our values are a series of behaviours that everyone at the Trust is expected to live and breathe.

We are proud to live our new values each and every day. They outline how we will act to ensure we provide the very best care to the people we support:

  • working together (for service users)
  • respect and kindness
  • everyone counts
  • commitment to quality
  • improving lives

Our values help us to achieve our vision which is to improve the mental, physical and social wellbeing of the people in our communities.
