'ASA' Open Water Swimming - Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July
The Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) 1 km Open Water Swim is your chance to experience a fantastic celebration of open water swimming at the picturesque Rother Valley Country Park in Sheffield. If you wish to have a go at swimming in open water the mass participation 1 km event may be for you.
This year it takes place on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July from 10am. For further information contact the Amateur Swimming Association on 01509 640128.
Individual Swimming Challenge
Why not set yourself the challenge of trying to swim the equivalent of the Channel, or the Thames, or just set yourself a mile or two over the month of July?
There will be prizes - one for who has swum furthest and a random draw for all others undertaking a challenge. To download a challenge form please click here.

Based on 25 metre length pool
• 1 mile = 64 lengths
• The English Channel (across as usual swimmers do) = 1,360 lengths (21.5 miles)
• The River Thames (from source to outlet) = 13,760 lengths (215 miles)
Outdoor Swimming
Imagine swimming outside, the sun reflecting off the water, stunning scenery surrounding you with the sounds of birds singing. Sounds good? Then why not give it a try.
