Primary Care Psychological Therapies

We offer a specialist counselling service, predominantly provided in GP practices in Sheffield. We support people in exploring difficult and sometimes painful emotions and experiences which can include anxiety, depression or trauma. The process of counselling and the counselling relationship can help people to discover ways in which changes may be made, to consider new perspectives and to regain control over their own lives.

Our service is now provided through the Sheffield Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service, which is part of a new national programme to support improved access to psychological therapies.
